What it costs, how you buy it, and how a rollout actually works.
Yes — the trust and local authority dashboard costs nothing. You pay for school licences and nothing on top: no central platform fee, no per-school management charge and no minimum number of schools. When you compare quotes, it is worth checking each supplier line by line for a separate central or MAT fee, because that is where trust-level pricing usually differs.
Both work. You can bring every school live on the same date, or phase it — one school a term, a cluster at a time, or whatever fits your calendar. We migrate each school’s data as it comes across, and the central dashboard picks up new schools as they join, so you are never waiting for the whole trust before you get a view.
You pay the standard school price for each school, and nothing for the central dashboard. On One that is £290 base plus £7 per pupil per year for a primary, or £1,490 base plus £10 per pupil for a secondary, all +VAT. Data migration is included for every school, and the price is frozen for three years.
GroupEd is listed on the Crown Commercial Service G-Cloud framework and is an Everything ICT approved supplier, so most trusts and authorities can buy without running a full tender. We are also Cyber Essentials Plus certified and UK-hosted. If you need to buy through a framework we are not on yet, ask — we will tell you straight whether we can.
Yes. One dashboard shows every school in the trust or authority through the same lens, using the same data definitions everywhere, so figures add up across schools without anyone exporting a spreadsheet. From the trust view you can open any individual school and work in it directly.
No minimum contract. The price each school started on is frozen for three years, so there is no renewal jump to plan for across the trust. Data migration is included, and the data stays yours — if a school or the trust ever leaves, we hand all of it back.
