How many pupils can GroupEd handle?
Any size — there is no pupil-number limit and no tier you outgrow. Schools with over 1,200 pupils and staff on site run it today. A full pupil record loads in under a second, against three to five for the bigger legacy systems, and that gap widens rather than closes as the roll grows.
What does GroupEd cost for a 900-pupil secondary?
On a 900-pupil roll, One — the full MIS — is £10,490 a year (£1,490 base plus £10 per pupil), and that includes Classroom, OnSite and the Parent & Carer app at no extra cost — about £11.65 per pupil for the whole platform. Classroom and OnSite can also be bought on their own, at £5,990 and £579. All prices +VAT.
Can a secondary switch MIS mid-year?
Yes, at any point in the year. You do not have to wait for every year of history to move first — we get you live on the current year and bring the archive across behind you. Secondaries are often using behaviour and attendance management within days, while the migration finishes in the background.
Can staff log behaviour from their phones?
Yes. Behaviour and achievement are logged from whatever device is nearest, including a phone in a corridor, and it reaches the pupil’s record and their parents without a separate write-up later. If someone can use a phone, they can use it — training is rarely required.
Is there a minimum contract?
No minimum contract. The price you started on is frozen for three years, so there is no renewal jump to budget for. Data migration is included, and your data stays yours — if you ever leave, we hand all of it back.
